Welcome to the July (practically August) Handlender Connection newsletter!
I definitely planned to send this out much earlier, but I’m operating on a two-week delay for just about everything in life right now. In my defense, it is 2020, and Murphy’s Law is trying to rear its ugly head.

So I get a pass for the entire year. Don’t worry - you do too.

Anyway, I’ve got some exciting news to share!

Handlender Updates

1. We received our OFFICIAL trademark registration certificate! As a new business owner, achievements like these (regardless of how small) always give me a little more pep in my step!

 2. We’ve made some updates to our website! 
We’ve changed the Handlender request and registration process to make them more secure! Now, when you request a hand or register as a member, you’ll be asked for your unique Community Access Code which is associated with the specific organization sponsoring your Handlender membership.

​Important! Keep an eye out for an email with your organization's Community Access Code, and remember to keep it handy – you won’t be able to submit a request or register without it.

COVID-19 has put a real strain on a lot of people – their health, their finances, and even their mental and emotional capacities. And we know how meaningful it is to receive help when you need it most.
​
That’s why we’ve transformed our “Give Aways” page into a space where members can submit Urgent Requests.

---

When we receive an urgent request, a notification will be sent to your entire community so you can get the help you need, really fast. Be sure to only use this option when your need is truly urgent, because, well… we’ve all read the story, “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”​

​3. We’ve launched TWO new marketing videos to encourage organizations and potential members to join Handlender!
(Woo-hoo! A little more "pep" anyone?)

 Take a peek and let us know what you think. Then, share them with everyone you know!

4. We're making Progress on the Process!
 
Remember those behind-the-scenes processes that we were working on? Well, we’re making some really good progress on that too. It’s a lot of work, but well worth the effort when all is said and done –especially for the team processing the requests! I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s up and running! ​
