Hiya Friend, Welcome to the May 2020 Handlender Connection! I hope you are continuing to stay healthy, happy, and hopeful. Nowadays, it seems that no matter where you turn, everyone’s talking about the “C” word. It can be exhausting, confusing, scary, and in some cases, downright annoying. So, how about a break? Let's play "Guess Who?!"  Guess whose trademark has been published in the Trademark Official Gazette? – OURS! (Happy dance, anyone?) This means we’re in the home stretch for obtaining a certificate of registration. If there aren't any parties who file a notice of opposition, then we are in the clear and can expect our certificate in a couple of months!  Guess who initiated marketing on social media? – WE DID! We created a Facebook business page and have already received a decent number of “likes.” Thank you to those of you who have shown your support. If you haven’t already, please add us to your Friends list and give us a thumbs up! Then, share our page with your friends! We hope to add more content and grow our presence in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned!  Guess who’s been paying attention to the member "Give Aways” page? – YOU! We were thrilled this month to see our members are claiming many of the free items posted on our site. Keep checking back as we add to the list!  Remember: If you have items (furniture, clothing, books, toys, etc.) in good condition that you’d like to give away, let us know! You never know who’s in need, and it always feels good to lend a hand. In The Works We’re continuing to reach out to local organizations to share the benefits of joining Handlender. I’ve found that the communication goes further when we already have a connection to someone inside the organizations. So, I’m asking for your help: Would you be willing to connect us with your colleagues, friends, or family members who are a part of local churches or community-style organizations? I’d love to meet with them and find out if Handlender is a good fit for their organization. You can click here to share their contact info. We’re also looking to make connections with various business owners and advisors who are familiar with platforms like ours. There’s so much for us to learn on this journey of expansion, and we value every nugget we pick up along the way.
